Maria Nagorski, Fair Chance Executive Director, has been selected for the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2010

Fair Chance is pleased to announce that our Executive Director, Maria Nagorski, has been recognized for her outstanding leadership in the nonprofit sector by being selected for the Leadership Greater Washington Class of 2010. This year, Leadership Greater Washington selected fifty-seven regional leaders as members of its 24th Class.

Leadership Greater Washington (LGW) is an organization that continuously strives to create avenues for its members and other leaders to come together and act as catalysts of positive change in the Greater Washington region. LGW accomplishes its mission through dynamic, education and membership programs that promote dialogue and cooperation, enabling area leaders to find effective solutions to regional challenges.

The 10-month program provides intensive hands-on study and in-depth discussion of regional issues including health, public safety, the arts, affordable housing competitive, leadership, regional economic development, and Inclusiveness & Equity. At its conclusion, program graduates are better equipped to affect positive change throughout the region because they have a greater understanding of the area's political, social, financial and institutional structures and a network of support from their Leadership Greater Washington friends.
